Annual Communicate Justice Training Institute
April 24, 2008 - 8:30 am to April 26, 2008 - 3:00 pm
Mark your calendars for the upcoming annual Communicate Justice Training Institute! This relevant training institute is designed for grassroots organizers, leaders and activists to get the media skills and strategy they need to design effective media campaigns. The institute will be April 24th-26th so clear your schedules today!
The Media Institute is designed to expand the media skills and capacity of Bay Area racial justice and youth rights organizers. Through the building of media skills, disenfranchised communities can enter the debate strategically and insert their stories in ways that support their campaign goals. Through interactive, skills-based, expert learning sessions, we will give organizers the tools they need to successfully design and carry out media campaigns and build their core media competency. The Center for Media Justice’s Media Institute is a unique alternative to mainstream communications workshops because it centralizes race as a key reason for lack of equitable media access and coverage.
